After hearing of a friend's success and watching the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead," my husband and I were inspired to try a juice diet. Here's the recipe for Mean Green Juice from Joe Cross (1 serving):
4 stalks celery
6-8 leaves kale
1 inch piece ginger
Wash all produce.
Peel the lemon and core the apple.
Run all ingredients through a juicer and drink.
We've had this three times a day and eaten nothing else (OK, sometimes we cheat) for about a week now. We've each lost seven pounds, have enough energy to get through the day, and feel fine. Onward and upward!
Update: Hubby lost 11 pounds and I lost 10 total. I recommend juicing with this recipe, and we'll do it again sometime, but not soon, because I don't want to see another glass of greeen juice for a while!
